This project, located in Nandi Hills Town, is a five-storey commercial building financed through both company funds and Fairtrade contributions. It was developed as a strategic investment to create an additional income stream for the company, recognizing the volatility of the tea market and the impact falling prices can have on farmers’ earnings. By diversifying income sources, the company helps safeguard and stabilize community livelihoods.

The building currently has an occupancy rate of about 50%, with tenants that include microfinance institutions, a bank, a gym, and several other businesses. Rental income from the project is shared between the shareholders and the Fairtrade Premium Trust, with the Trust’s portion reinvested into community development initiatives.
