

Sireet OEP was founded in 2006, uniting smallholder tea farmers in the Nandi Hills region under a farmer umbrella. The objective was to address numerous challenges faced by farmers, which included fluctuating market prices, unfriendly operating environment, limited access to financial resources, and a lack of technical support to improve productivity.

Since its establishment, Sireet OEP has grown significantly, with a current shareholding of over 10,000 members.
Sireet OEP’ success lies in its holistic approach to addressing the needs of its members. Over 12,000 farmers have benefited from Sireet’s programs, seeing significant increases in household incomes. The organization has enabled them to invest in better housing, education, and healthcare for their families. The organization has implemented a wide range of initiatives to ensure that its growth benefits its members and the wider community.
